Get everything ready
Put the baby potatoes in a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Reduce to a steady simmer.
Mix the beef mince, wholegrain mustard, dried thyme, salt and black pepper. Shape into 2 patties, pressing a shallow indentation into the centre of each. Wash hands and clean surfaces after handling the raw beef.
Trim the beans, split the buns and slice the red onion.

Simmer the potatoes until tender. Add the green beans to the pan for the final 4 minutes. Drain, keeping the beans separate. Lightly crush the potatoes with a fork, then season with salt and black pepper.
